Storekeeper - Civil Contracting

About the role

Careers International is hiring a Storekeeper for a civil contracting project in Dubai. The role manages the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing and issuing construction materials, tools and equipment, keeping accurate inventory records and supporting on-site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a detailed and accurate inventory of materials, tools and equipment, with regular stock checks and audits
• Receive deliveries, inspect them for quality and quantity against purchase orders, and report discrepancies or damaged goods
• Record incoming items in the inventory system and issue materials to site personnel, tracking usage and returns
• Keep the warehouse organized, clean and compliant with safety regulations, including safe storage of hazardous materials
• Maintain records of inventory transactions and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Assist in monitoring stock levels, placing orders to avoid stockouts and coordinating with suppliers and project managers

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in inventory management or supply chain is a plus
• At least 3 years of experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role, preferably in civil contracting or construction
• Knowledge of construction materials, tools and equipment is a plus
• Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and regulations

Required skills

• Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred)
• Strong organization, attention to detail and record-keeping
