Subcontracts Specialist

About the role

The Subcontracts Specialist supports the execution of oil and gas construction projects by managing the full lifecycle of subcontract packages, from pre‑award activities through contract close‑out. This individual contributor role works closely with project teams, contractors, and the Subcontracts Manager to ensure commercial and technical compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue Invitations to Bid, qualify bidders, and assist in commercial and technical bid evaluations.
• Administer post‑award activities including contract finalisation, daily communications, invoicing, status reporting and contract close‑out.
• Monitor subcontract budgets, approve payments, manage changes, and negotiate disputes to protect company interests.
• Ensure all subcontract requirements such as performance guarantees, insurances and warranties are secured and documented.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑3 years of contract and subcontract administration experience in the EPC industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Experience with subcontract templates, bid evaluation and negotiation of terms.
• Ability to work on a 24‑week on‑site rotation at the Ruwais site.

Required skills

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong database and spreadsheet management skills.
• Effective written and oral communication.
