SVP, Financial Risk Solutions

About the role

The Senior Vice President, Financial Risk Solutions will generate actionable investment ideas and develop independent market views across financial risks such as FX, rates and commodities. The role translates these insights into portfolio, hedging and structured financial solutions that support Mubadala’s investment, funding and risk objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop independent market views and actionable investment ideas across macroeconomic themes and financial risks, supported by fundamental analysis, quantitative tools and scenario analysis.
• Translate market views into portfolio recommendations, hedging strategies and structured financial solutions, including derivatives such as forwards, swaps and options.
• Lead implementation of approved ideas, advise on instrument selection, timing and execution, and maintain relationships with banking counterparties.
• Contribute to the Financial Risk Solutions strategy, governance, policy development and continuous improvement of processes and systems.

Required profile

• 16‑18 years of relevant experience in a leading financial institution, sovereign wealth fund, asset manager or multinational organisation.
• Proven ability to generate investment ideas, develop market views and translate them into clear investment theses and risk‑reward assessments.
• Experience structuring and executing derivative transactions and advising senior stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of macroeconomic, geopolitical and financial market developments.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in listed and OTC derivatives across rates, FX, commodities and equities.
• Quantitative analysis, scenario modelling and fundamental research.
• Portfolio hedging and tail‑risk strategy development.
