Tax & Reporting Analyst

About the role

The Tax & Reporting Analyst is responsible for regional VAT compliance and filing, as well as managing corporate tax across multiple GCC jurisdictions. Working closely with regional finance leadership and the Central Tax Team, the role supports sound tax governance, risk management and provides insight into the business through reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare indirect and direct tax filings, including VAT, withholding tax and corporate tax returns across the region.
• Maintain robust tax compliance documentation in line with regulatory and group requirements.
• Support the business with practical guidance on VAT, corporate tax and withholding tax matters in the GCC.
• Assist with statutory and regulatory filings such as ESR, UBO and related compliance reporting.
• Prepare, review and analyse monthly management accounts and trial balances for Middle East offices.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Contribute to budgeting, quarterly re‑forecasting and reporting dashboard maintenance.
• Collaborate with the Central Tax Team and regional finance colleagues to align with group policies.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing analysis, reconciliations and documentation.

Required profile

• Recognised accounting qualification.
• Strong understanding of VAT principles within the GCC and their practical application.
• Exposure to corporate tax and withholding tax frameworks within the GCC.
• High level of numerical accuracy and ability to manage competing priorities, especially during month‑end and year‑end cycles.
• Strong communication skills in English with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
• High standards of discretion and confidentiality.
