Team Leader - Sports

About the role

GMG is a global well-being company that retails, distributes and manufactures brands across sport, food and health. This Team Leader - Sports role supports the Store Sales team in driving sales through performance and development, while ensuring high standards of operational, commercial and customer service. The postholder works in a sports retail store in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Help deliver the store's annual sales targets and maintain coverage and schedules so customer service stays high
• Audit store operations against standard operating policies and oversee after-sales processes, including repairs and returns
• Resolve customer complaints, build rapport with current and potential customers and meet their needs
• Ensure visual merchandising, promotions and pricing match brand and company standards
• Analyze sales reports and collection performance, submit daily invoices and sales recaps to Finance, and handle cash, inventory taking and record keeping
• Manage inventory movement, receiving, stocking, transfers and discrepancies, and uphold loss prevention standards
• Keep the store clean and tidy, direct the team to follow SOPs and appearance standards, and act as cashier when needed
• Set goals and KPIs for team members, mentor and coach them, and foster a culture of feedback and coaching

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• At least 4-5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a similar supervisory role in retail operations
