Technical Manager ROV Support

About the role

Fugro is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the ROV support function in Dubai. The role oversees the performance, maintenance and safety of the ROV fleet across challenging marine environments, ensuring reliable data acquisition for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and technicians responsible for ROV troubleshooting, repairs and routine maintenance.
• Develop and enforce technical procedures and standards to maximise ROV performance and safety.
• Coordinate with project managers and field operators to resolve technical issues and provide on‑site support when required.
• Prepare, review and maintain technical documentation such as manuals, maintenance logs and operational reports.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and Fugro’s internal policies for ROV operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marine Technology or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing ROV operations or technical support teams.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in dynamic, high‑risk environments.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
