Trainee Air Traffic Controller – UAE Nationals Only

About the role

You will be trained to become an Air Traffic Control Officer with Dubai Air Navigation Services. The full‑time programme combines classroom instruction, simulator practice and on‑the‑job training, culminating in the assessments and examinations required for certification.

Key responsibilities

• Attend and actively participate in all training modules covering ATC procedures, regulations and equipment.
• Complete simulator sessions and practical exercises under the supervision of qualified instructors.
• Pass all required assessments, examinations and a GCAA Level 3 medical examination.
• Assist senior controllers in monitoring aircraft movements and maintaining safe separation once qualified.

Required profile

• Age between 19 and 27 at the start of training.
• UAE national holding a family book (Khalasat Al Qaid).
• Minimum high‑school certificate with English, Mathematics and preferably Physics.
• Proficient English – IELTS 5.5 or higher, or EmSAT‑English score of 1250 or above.
• Medically fit to pass a GCAA Level 3 medical exam.
• Male candidates must have completed national service.
