Transportation Officer - Fleet Coordination, Al Quoz

About the role

A well-established transportation and logistics company based in Al Quoz, one of Dubai's main industrial and logistics hubs, is looking for a Transportation Officer. The role keeps fleets on schedule, supports drivers and enforces safety standards, in a close-knit team that works hard and fairly.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation operations at the Al Quoz base, from route planning to dispatch coordination
• Track vehicles, shipments and driver performance to keep everything on schedule
• Enforce company policies, procedures and safety regulations, and act firmly but fairly when needed
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse teams and external partners to resolve delays
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, maintenance schedules and incidents
• Spot inefficiencies in routes or workflows and suggest practical improvements
• Support and mentor the driving team, helping them stay compliant and motivated

Required profile

• Solid experience in transportation or fleet coordination, ideally within the UAE
• Working knowledge of UAE traffic laws, road safety regulations and transport compliance
• Strong leadership instincts and excellent organisational skills
• Clear communication in English; Hindi or Urdu is a strong plus
• Nice to have: a valid UAE driving licence, experience with light and heavy vehicle fleets, and familiarity with Al Quoz operations
