Vice President – Technology Transformation Office

About the role

The Vice President of the Technology Transformation Office will lead the governance of Mashreq's technology change portfolio across multiple groups. This senior position partners with group leadership to ensure strategic alignment, delivery excellence, and value realization for transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and govern the technology change portfolio for assigned Mashreq groups, overseeing investment planning, delivery governance, and performance tracking.
• Provide a decision‑oriented view of the portfolio from demand through benefits realization, maintaining a single source of truth.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, identifying risks, dependencies and value leakage, and escalating issues through governance forums.
• Ensure project quality and methodology compliance, coach project managers, and directly manage selected projects when required.
• Lead initiation activities, develop business cases, review executive summaries, and sign off on budget requests.
• Maintain transparent communication of roadmap progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Optimize resource allocation across talent, technology and finances to achieve delivery excellence.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in technology portfolio management, transformation governance, and project delivery within a banking or financial services environment.
• Proven ability to work with senior leadership, influence decision‑making, and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor performance, forecast outcomes and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
