Warfighting Systems Analyst (Wargaming Research and Systems Analyst)

About the role

Anduril Industries develops unmanned systems for subsurface, surface, land and air domains, using unsupervised autonomy and its Lattice OS. It is hiring a Warfighting Systems Analyst in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to produce, iterate and support Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (M&SA), including wargaming and experimentation. The analyst trains customers, supports internal product improvement and learns customer needs. The role is one of the first hires in an agile team of wargaming analysts building a new simulation center in the UAE; initial hiring takes place in London, UK, with relocation after completing the simulation center.

Key responsibilities

• Use high-end models and simulations, including Lattice Mission Simulation (MissionSim), to run simulation, experimentation and training
• Develop scenarios based on customer needs to demonstrate capabilities
• Evaluate how platform, payload, autonomy, sensor, effector, communications, navigation or C2 choices affect mission outcomes
• Design, run and analyze tactical and mission-level wargames to assess autonomous system capabilities and refine tactics
• Build physics-based models of red and blue force systems and tactics, and assess system-of-systems interactions, integration risks and constraints
• Work with engineering and business development teams to show Anduril's capabilities through data-driven analysis

Required profile

• Active country-specific Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
• 3+ years in Operations Research and Systems Analysis, systems engineering, mission engineering, test and evaluation or a related field
• Experience with tactical experiments and wargaming, including scenario development, data analytics and trade-space analysis
• Modeling and simulation for military missions, preferably with a background in friendly and adversary tactics
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field such as Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics or Mathematics

Required skills

• Proficiency in C++ or Python for physics-based modeling and scripting
• Ability to link system performance, architecture and design choices to mission outcomes
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Preferred: DoD M&S tools (AFSIM, Brawler, Suppressor, ESAMS, Command PE), AFSIM plug-in development, model-based systems engineering, KPP/KSA/MOE development, and defense or autonomous systems experience
