Analyst II, IT Clinical Applications

About the role

The Application Analyst Level II will support the implementation and ongoing configuration of Epic Optime and the Anesthesia module within a busy hospital environment. The role requires certified expertise in these Epic applications, at least four years of implementation experience, and the ability to work flexible shifts to provide 24/7 clinical support.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, facilitate, and document requirements and validation sessions with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with clinical operations to capture and document clinical workflows.
• Provide site support, end‑user training, and informatics assistance as needed.
• Resolve incidents, handle operational and enhancement requests independently.
• Follow IT change‑control procedures and present changes to appropriate boards.
• Mentor Analyst Level I staff and contribute to their development.
• Support senior analysts in project scoping, effort estimation, sprint planning, and capacity planning.
• Configure, build, test, and maintain IT clinical applications according to business requirements.

Required profile

• Certified in Epic Optime and the Epic Anesthesia module.
• Minimum four years (48 months) of implementation experience with Epic Optime and Anesthesia.
• Experience with Epic Inpatient Orders and order transmittal is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, to support 24/7 hospital operations.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and ability to translate them into system configurations.
