Bar Hostess

About the role

The Bar Hostess supports the restaurant team by delivering courteous, efficient service and maintaining a high standard of social skills. She interacts directly with guests, promotes a positive image of the hotel, and assists the Assistant Manager in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the food & beverage outlet according to meal settings and opening hours.
• Welcome guests, manage seating, and ensure the entrance is never unattended.
• Present menus, make recommendations, take orders, process payments, and handle guest complaints as directed.
• Maintain personal grooming standards, uniform condition, and a clean, organized work environment.
• Report cleanliness, maintenance issues, and equipment failures to the supervisor or maintenance department.
• Participate in training sessions, departmental briefings, and cross‑functional support as needed.

Required profile

• College graduate with at least one year of front‑of‑house or hostess experience.
• Proficient in computer systems and point‑of‑sale (POS) software.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and hygiene regulations.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Flexible to work varying shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
