Business Development Manager - MICE

About the role

The Business Development Manager – MICE will drive revenue growth for Shangri‑La Qaryat Al Beri by developing and managing meetings, incentives, conferences and events business. You will build strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners and agencies to maximise the hotel’s luxury positioning and large‑scale event capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and manage MICE accounts to achieve rooms, banquet and event revenue targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, PCOs and MICE agencies.
• Prepare and negotiate group contracts, proposals and event packages in coordination with operations teams.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing strategies within the UAE MICE segment.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales missions, site inspections and networking events.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the UAE MICE market, event planning processes and group contracting.
• Excellent negotiation, sales and relationship‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage complex proposals, large‑scale events and multiple stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with forecasting, budgeting and performance‑tracking skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, marketing or related field.
• 3‑5 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry.
