Class Teacher – Early Years STEM Focus

About the role

The Class Teacher will plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons for young learners, integrating STEM concepts with literacy, numeracy and social‑emotional learning. This full‑time, on‑site position supports a play‑based, inquiry driven curriculum in a multicultural early years setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging classroom activities that blend STEM, literacy and numeracy.
• Guide children through structured and play‑based learning experiences.
• Observe, document and assess children’s progress regularly.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve curriculum and teaching practices.
• Communicate regularly with families about children’s development and classroom activities.

Required profile

• Relevant diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Strong foundation in education with experience in early childhood or primary teaching.
• Experience in STEM‑oriented or inquiry‑based early years settings is an advantage.
• Commitment to child safeguarding, classroom safety and inclusive practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
