Commis 2 – Tasca Kitchen (Portuguese Cuisine)

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is seeking a motivated Commis 2 to join the Tasca Kitchen team, specializing in Portuguese cuisine. You will work under the guidance of senior chefs to ensure timely, high‑quality food preparation while adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, peel, and prepare ingredients for daily production.
• Maintain mise en place to the highest quality standards.
• Set up and replenish buffet stations.
• Assist with requisition pick‑up and organize storage.
• Monitor stock levels and report low inventory.
• Store ingredients correctly, label, and preserve them.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools, and utensils before and after use.
• Report cleanliness and maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Uphold personal hygiene and food safety standards at all times.

Required profile

• At least 12 months of kitchen experience.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
• Willingness to learn and follow guidance from senior chefs.
