Commis Chef (Commis II) – Luxury Resort, Ras Al Khaimah

About the role

Join the culinary team at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa as a Commis II. You will work in a vibrant, luxury beachfront kitchen, supporting chefs to create visually stunning and delicious dishes for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and plate dishes with an eye for presentation and taste.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and manage supplies, equipment, and waste.
• Adhere to local cleanliness and hygiene regulations, ensuring food safety at all times.
• Assist with washing up and other kitchen duties as needed.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks and support the team in a flexible, collaborative manner.

Required profile

• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lb (23 kg), including bending and kneeling.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills (reading, writing, maths).
• Willingness to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Compliance with local food‑handling and alcohol‑service laws; must meet minimum age requirement and be fluent in the local language.
• Strong communication skills, friendly and approachable demeanor.
