Consultant - Paediatric Gastroenterologist

About the role

Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai is seeking a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist to deliver patient‑centred, evidence‑based care. The role involves leading clinical services for children with gastrointestinal conditions, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, ethical clinical care to paediatric patients in an efficient manner.
• Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, quality management, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records.
• Promote continuous professional development for self and junior colleagues.
• Uphold integrity and ethical standards in all clinical activities.

Required profile

• Basic medical degree with a recognised fellowship or diploma in paediatric gastroenterology accepted by UAE health authorities.
• Active registration in the specialty and valid life‑support certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
• Minimum 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience at consultant level; experience in a Tier‑1 country is preferred.
• Ability to supervise clinical clerkship training for medical students and junior doctors.
• Proficiency in an electronic medical record system and knowledge of clinical audit processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Arabic is an advantage.
