Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry & Bakery

About the role

The St. Regis Dubai The Palm is seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join its Pastry & Bakery team. You will support the creation of high‑quality pastries, desserts and baked goods while maintaining the standards of a luxury hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and ensure proper thawing of frozen items.
• Maintain accurate food logs, monitor portion sizes, garnish presentation and overall food quality.
• Communicate with the Chef about excess inventory for daily specials and inform service staff of menu changes.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and coaching junior kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies; report incidents and complete required safety training.
• Uphold a clean, professional appearance and protect confidential company information.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb, standing for long periods and reaching overhead.

Required profile

• Minimum three years (36 months) of relevant pastry or bakery experience.
• Technical, trade or vocational school education in culinary arts preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, luxury hotel environment and communicate clearly with team members.
