Design Engineer (Geotechnical & Piling)

About the role

The Design Engineer (Geotechnical & Piling) will develop practical, buildable piling designs that support both tendering and project delivery. Working from soil‑investigation data, structural information and project specifications, you will create technically sound and commercially viable solutions tailored to site conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Design bored piles and/or CFA piles based on geotechnical and structural data.
• Prepare engineering calculations, pile schedules and detailed technical documentation.
• Interpret soil investigation reports and geotechnical parameters to inform design decisions.
• Ensure designs meet local ground conditions, construction methods and project requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and optimise solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of civil/geotechnical experience with a strong focus on piling and foundations.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on piling design experience, preferably with a specialist contractor.
• Practical experience designing bored piles and/or CFA piles.
• Good understanding of pile capacity, settlement, reinforcement and construction methodologies.
• UAE experience and knowledge of local ground conditions is highly advantageous.
