Director of Sales

About the role

Leads and manages all day‑to‑day sales activities for the property, focusing on building long‑term, value‑based customer relationships that drive achievement of sales objectives. The role also meets personal booking goals and guides direct reports on their targets.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales leader to understand and implement the sales strategy for the segment.
• Create and execute a sales plan addressing revenue, customers and market needs, and develop internal and external promotions.
• Provide aggressive leadership to maximize revenue, set personal booking goals and recommend targets for the sales team.
• Monitor daily activities of direct reports, approve space releases for catering, and participate in sales calls to acquire or close new business.
• Generate proposals, write contracts, handle customer correspondence, and support operational aspects of booked business.
• Analyze market data, assist Revenue Management with six‑period projections, and review guest satisfaction results to identify improvement areas.

Required profile

• Either a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management (or related) plus 3 years sales/marketing experience, or a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with 1 year experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop sales strategies, and drive revenue growth in a hospitality environment.
