English Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Jan 2027

About the role

Rugby School Dubai is seeking an outstanding English Teacher to cover a maternity leave starting in January 2027. The role offers the chance to shape the culture and standards of a brand‑new, world‑class British school from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for a mixed‑ability class, ensuring curriculum coverage.
• Assess student progress using Target Tracker and provide feedback to parents and carers.
• Collaborate with colleagues, curriculum support staff and external specialists such as speech and language therapists.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy and act as a positive role model.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English or related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with learners for whom English is an additional language.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
