General Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled General Technician to join our Dubai hotel team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the facility’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems throughout the hotel.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions efficiently and accurately.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and infrastructure to identify potential issues.
• Install and set up new equipment following technical specifications and safety guidelines.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless facility operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in inventory management of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Contribute to preventive maintenance schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or vocational certificate in a relevant technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience as a general technician or in a similar maintenance role.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform various maintenance tasks safely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
