General Technician (Painter)

About the role

Avani Hotels and Resorts is looking for a detail‑oriented General Technician (Painter) to join its maintenance team in Dubai. You will work on both residential‑style and commercial hotel spaces, ensuring surfaces are prepared and finished to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer.
• Mix and match paint colours to meet project specifications.
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Perform basic carpentry and drywall repairs as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other technicians on larger renovation projects.
• Estimate time and material needs for each job.
• Provide courteous service to hotel guests and staff.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of professional painting experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational painting training preferred.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel between sites.
• Physical stamina for standing, climbing and lifting heavy objects.
• Strong communication skills in English.
