Head of Non-Aero Business Development

About the role

The Head of Non‑Aero Business Development will lead the creation and execution of new revenue opportunities across Abu Dhabi Airports’ non‑aeronautical portfolio, including hospitality, retail, food & beverage, and advertising. Reporting to senior commercial leadership, the role will leverage airport assets, passenger traffic and strategic partnerships to diversify income streams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a non‑aeronautical business development strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Identify, assess and develop new ventures, partnerships and destination‑related initiatives.
• Conduct market research, competitive benchmarking and feasibility studies.
• Build detailed business cases with financial models covering revenue forecasts, CapEx, OpEx and ROI.
• Lead commercial negotiations and structure partnership agreements such as revenue‑share, joint ventures and lease contracts.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to launch and monitor new initiatives.
• Represent Abu Dhabi Airports at industry forums and conferences.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior business development or commercial leadership roles, preferably within airport, tourism or large‑scale retail environments.
• Strong track record of delivering revenue‑generating projects from concept to implementation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence senior executives.
