Licensed Flight Dispatcher

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Licensed Flight Dispatcher to join its Flight Operations team in Dubai. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operation of Emirates flights by coordinating with pilots, ground crews, and external service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and determine optimal routes, altitudes and overflight permissions for each flight, balancing economic, meteorological and safety factors.
• Calculate fuel requirements, take‑off and landing performance, and regulated weights in line with GCAA regulations.
• Plan and validate ETOPS diversions, alternate airports and extended twin operations strategies.
• Prepare and file ATC flight plans, issue the Flight Release and provide all briefing documents to crews at Dubai and outstations.
• Monitor flight progress, negotiate with ATC to avoid delays and adjust route, speed or altitude to optimise commercial payload.
• Liaise with Operations Control, SkyCargo and Load Control to assess performance penalties and commercial impact.

Required profile

• Valid GCAA‑approved Flight Dispatcher licence.
• Proven experience in flight operations or dispatch within an airline environment.
• Strong knowledge of international aviation regulations and ETOPS requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and make timely operational decisions.
