Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre Commissioning (CxA)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer (CxA) to lead commissioning activities for data‑centre facilities in Abu Dhabi. The role involves planning, coordinating and delivering L2‑L5 commissioning stages, ensuring technical compliance and readiness for client acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead L2 installation verification – review and approve checklists, ITPs and method statements, and confirm readiness for commissioning.
• Execute L3 individual element commissioning – witness start‑up of plant items, verify settings, controls and protections, and ensure stability before system testing.
• Conduct L4 system functional testing – coordinate tests, validate sequences of operation and confirm compliance with design intent.
• Support L5 integrated systems testing – validate resilience and recovery outcomes, assist with client demonstrations and acceptance.
• Authorize progression between commissioning stages and recommend acceptance or rejection of test results within the defined scope.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of commissioning experience in mission‑critical or complex facilities.
• Proven exposure to data‑centre or other critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to produce and manage technical documentation and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
