Operations Manager – Infrastructure Maintenance

About the role

Waagner Biro Bridge Services is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the maintenance of its infrastructure assets across the United Arab Emirates. You will ensure reliability, efficiency, and longevity of critical assets while aligning maintenance activities with the company’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive infrastructure maintenance strategies and plans.
• Manage and coordinate maintenance teams to deliver projects and tasks on schedule.
• Oversee the maintenance budget, optimizing resource allocation and cost‑effectiveness.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to maintain operational continuity.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and report results to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Maintain relationships with key vendors and service providers.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure maintenance operations.
• Proven project management experience, preferably with PMP or similar certification.
• Strong budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation skills.
• Excellent risk assessment and mitigation capabilities.
• Effective leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Willingness to work night shifts.
