Project Manager – Heavy Lift & Project Logistics

About the role

DSV is seeking a Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end heavy‑lift and project cargo operations for its Air & Sea division in Abu Dhabi. You will design logistics solutions for oversized, out‑of‑gauge and break‑bulk shipments, coordinating multimodal transport across the Middle East and international trade corridors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive project logistics plans from origin to final destination.
• Lead a dedicated team of 3‑5 logistics professionals, ensuring schedules are met safely and within budget.
• Review method statements, lifting plans, transport studies and route surveys to assess technical feasibility.
• Collaborate with transport engineers, port authorities, heavy‑haul contractors and shipping lines to resolve bridge capacities, road restrictions and permit requirements.
• Maintain full financial accountability, track costs, manage margins and negotiate commercial terms with vessels, contractors and service providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or Business Administration.
• 5–8 years of experience managing heavy‑lift, break‑bulk and industrial project cargo operations.
• Proven ability to lead teams and communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
