Senior Accountant

About the role

Hello Chef is scaling rapidly and needs reliable financial reporting. As a Senior Accountant you will own the accuracy of the month‑end close, maintain a clean ledger and ensure that payables, accruals and inventory reflect the operational reality.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a timely, complete and accurate month‑end close, reconciling bank, payables, accruals, pre‑payments and inventory balances.
• Maintain an audit‑ready general ledger with correct classification and no duplicate or unclear entries.
• Enforce financial controls by overseeing payment approvals, expense processes and data inputs across the business.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies early to prevent unresolved items from carrying forward.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of hands‑on accounting experience in a mid‑sized organization.
• Direct responsibility for month‑end close and account reconciliations.
• Proven ability to manage payables, bank reconciliations, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Comfort working with imperfect data while maintaining clean, reconciled accounts.

Required skills

• Experience with mid‑market ERP/accounting systems such as Business Central, NetSuite, Sage or SAP Business One.
• Strong month‑end close and reconciliation discipline.
• Proficiency in managing payables, bank reconciliations, accruals and pre‑payments.
