Senior Mechanical Pipeline Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Senior Pipeline Quantity Surveyor responsible for managing quantity and cost control for mechanical pipeline works within EPC projects. Works closely with field engineering, procurement, construction and contracts teams to ensure accurate measurement, risk mitigation and cost‑effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess project risks from contract documents, schedules and deliverables, providing fortnightly risk reports and mitigation plans.
• Develop and submit quantity take‑offs, material requisition packages and reconcile materials released to subcontractors.
• Review and cross‑check MTOs against AFC drawings, update procurement needs and support claim management.
• Coordinate tie‑ins, pre‑shutdown and shutdown activities, and approve field changes (FCN, DCN) and site variations.
• Implement Installation Work Packages (IWP), Workface Planning (WFP) and Advanced Work Package (AWP) methodology for milestone‑based execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5‑10 years of experience in quantity surveying for oil & gas EPC projects, preferably with ADNOC or similar.
• Proven experience in pipeline design, construction monitoring and lifecycle planning.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel for material control and reconciliation.
• Ability to read and interpret alignment sheets and pipeline drawings using AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Installation Work Packages (IWP), Workface Planning (WFP) and Advanced Work Package (AWP) methodology.
