Stakeholder Coordination Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Stakeholder Coordination Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi head office, supporting major building and infrastructure projects across the emirate. The role serves as the primary liaison with government authorities, utility providers and regulatory bodies to secure timely approvals, permits and NOCs throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact with Abu Dhabi government entities and statutory authorities such as DMT, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Civil Defence, ADDC, ADSSC, DoE, EAD and DoT.
• Attend authority coordination meetings, follow up on actions and resolve issues that could impact project progress.
• Manage the submission, tracking and closure of permits, NOCs and design approvals, ensuring all required authorisations are obtained before construction starts.
• Monitor approval timelines, maintain a comprehensive tracker and escalate risks to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi building codes, planning regulations and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with Project Directors, Design Managers, Planning, Construction, HSE and QA/QC teams to provide guidance on authority processes.
• Prepare regular status reports and maintain detailed documentation of authority correspondence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Extensive experience in stakeholder coordination, authority liaison and permits management on large‑scale construction projects in the UAE.
• Proven ability to work with senior internal leadership and government representatives.
• Strong organisational and documentation skills.
