Store Manager – Sports Retail

About the role

The Store Manager – Sports will lead the store’s sales performance, oversee daily operations, visual merchandising and ensure exceptional customer service. The role also focuses on motivating, training and retaining store personnel in line with GMG standards.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate store targets to the team and drive sales to achieve financial objectives.
• Maintain loss‑prevention standards, cash handling compliance and prevent product theft.
• Oversee POS activities, including sales transactions, order tracking, returns, refunds and customer data collection.
• Audit store administration, conduct stock counts and spot checks.
• Handle customer complaints, provide corrective actions and respond to feedback promptly.
• Analyse brand sales performance, market trends and competitor activity to propose action plans.
• Maintain window and in‑store displays according to merchandising guidelines.
• Manage inventory, stock availability, order processing and back‑store operations.
• Coordinate with facilities for repairs or equipment replacement and support asset maintenance.
• Plan staffing levels, schedules and shift coverage, especially during peak periods and promotions.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of relevant retail experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Strong product/category knowledge and customer‑orientation.
• Proficiency in MS Office and related tools.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage.
