Structural Inspector – Dubai

About the role

The Structural Inspector will provide on‑site technical oversight for structural works on infrastructure and building projects in Dubai. The role ensures that all construction activities comply with RTA and Dubai Municipality standards, approved drawings, and relevant codes.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and supervise all structural construction activities, including excavation readiness, foundations, piles, columns, walls, slabs, and reinforced concrete elements.
• Verify reinforcement bar sizes, spacing, laps, cover, and fixing; inspect formwork alignment, levels, stability and cleanliness before casting.
• Monitor concrete placement, vibration, finishing, curing, and protection, as well as precast element installation and alignment.
• Oversee structural steel erection, bolt tightening, welding inspections, and connection alignment where applicable.
• Review and process Inspection Requests (IRs), ensure compliance with method statements, ITPs and risk assessments.
• Review material submittals (concrete, reinforcement steel, structural steel, bolts, grout, embedded items) and verify on‑site materials against approved submissions.
• Support shop‑drawing review for constructability and compliance, and coordinate interfaces with civil, architectural, and MEP works.

Required profile

• Proven experience inspecting structural works on infrastructure or building projects in Dubai.
• Strong knowledge of RTA and Dubai Municipality standards, local and international codes.
• Ability to identify non‑conformances, support resolution of site issues, and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Familiarity with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements and risk assessments.
