About the role

GEMS FirstPoint School is seeking an outstanding Teacher of English to start in September 2026. You will join a vibrant, values‑driven community that serves around 2,000 learners from Nursery to Year 13 and follows the British curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high‑quality English lessons aligned with the British curriculum.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons effectively, maintaining accurate records of student progress.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Contribute to co‑curricular and extra‑curricular programmes supporting whole‑school initiatives.
• Use technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

Required profile

• Strong subject knowledge of English literature and language.
• Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and performance management.
• Willingness to engage with the school’s values and inclusive ethos.
