Assistant Merchandiser – Kids Wear (Retail)

About the role

The Assistant Merchandiser supports the Senior Merchandiser and Merchandiser in the Kids‑wear business unit. You will combine analytical reporting with hands‑on allocation, ensuring the right products and sizes reach stores across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the BTF allocation process, balance ratios and train allocators.
• Implement and maintain the AI Allocation solution from Invent Analytics.
• Generate accurate business reports, track promotions and analyse weekly trade data.
• Assist senior merchandisers in catalogue buying, maintain core buying sheets and enter quantities into the IBT/Digital Range Building system.
• Prepare planograms, compare performance against last year, budget and promotional calendars.
• Act as first point of contact for store stock issues and support weekly trade communications.
• Coach team members and communicate strategic objectives clearly.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years (36 months) of merchandising or retail planning experience.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with store teams, principals and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple reporting cycles and meet tight deadlines.
