AWS Pre‑Sales Consultant – MEA

About the role

The AWS Pre‑Sales Consultant will act as a technical advisor to drive AWS cloud adoption across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) market. You will translate complex business needs into cost‑effective AWS solutions, guiding customers through discovery, design, and proposal phases while emphasizing financial efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and qualify new AWS leads for technical, commercial, and financial viability.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to design robust, cost‑optimized AWS solutions covering infrastructure, data & AI, and application modernization.
• Lead FinOps discussions, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and recommend rightsizing, architectural improvements, and appropriate AWS pricing models.
• Manage the end‑to‑end technical sales process, including RFP responses, custom proposals, and contract negotiations.
• Deliver high‑impact presentations and demos to C‑level executives, highlighting ROI and TCO of cloud migration.
• Conduct AWS Well‑Architected Reviews focused on the Cost Optimization pillar.
• Develop accurate service and cost models to illustrate business impact for local clients.

Required profile

• Proven track record in technology pre‑sales, strategic cloud consulting, or Cloud FinOps roles.
• Deep expertise in AWS core services and specialized areas such as containerization and Data/AI.
• Strong understanding of the public‑cloud landscape and regulatory requirements in the MEA region.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) – mandatory.
• FinOps Practitioner certification – preferred.
