Chief Information Officer (CIO) – Dubai

About the role

Lead global technology strategy for a complex, asset‑intensive industrial enterprise. As CIO you will shape the digital agenda at board level and ensure resilient, secure, and scalable technology platforms across multiple continents.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a global IT and digital strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee reliable, secure, and scalable IT operations in multiple geographies.
• Drive enterprise‑wide digital transformation initiatives, including cloud adoption, automation, and AI.
• Establish and govern cybersecurity, data protection, and information‑security standards.
• Manage enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, and HRMS to maximise business value.
• Build and lead a high‑performing, future‑ready global IT organisation.
• Control global IT budgets, investment governance, and vendor performance.
• Advise executive leadership and the Board on technology risks and opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field (MBA preferred).
• 20+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
• Proven CIO experience in large, global organisations (USD 500 m+ revenue).
• Strong background in global IT operations, digital transformation, and cybersecurity.
• Demonstrated ability to influence Boards and senior executives.
• Financial acumen in budgeting, investment governance, and business case development.
• Experience leading large, multicultural teams across regions.
• Background in industrial, manufacturing, mining or other asset‑intensive sectors is a plus.
