Commercial Diver – Marine Construction Projects

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced commercial diver to support marine construction and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves conducting underwater inspections, surveys, and assisting with construction activities on marine structures. You will work closely with engineers, surveyors, and contractors to ensure project quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out underwater inspections of piles, foundations, revetments, seawalls, quay walls and other marine edge protection works.
• Support underwater construction tasks such as rock placement, installation of marine structures and protection works.
• Prepare daily diving and inspection reports, including photographs and video records, and maintain diving logs and equipment checks.
• Coordinate with Marine Engineers, Geotechnical Engineers, Surveyors, contractors and the diving team to verify conditions against approved drawings.

Required profile

• Relevant commercial diving qualification and certification.
• Minimum 36 months of proven commercial diving and underwater inspection experience.
• Experience on marine construction and infrastructure projects, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
