Consultant - Otolaryngology

About the role

The Consultant in Otolaryngology will provide expert diagnosis, treatment and compassionate care for adult patients with ear, nose, throat and related head‑and‑neck conditions at Bareen International Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, perform physical tests and procedures to determine health problems.
• Treat disorders of the ears, sinuses, nasal cavities, throat, thyroid, esophagus and larynx, including hearing loss, balance issues, allergies, polyps and voice problems.
• Perform cosmetic and functional surgeries such as rhinoplasty, cleft palate correction and tumor removal using microsurgical techniques.
• Prescribe medications, conduct treatment regimens, perform hearing tests and coordinate radiotherapy referrals.
• Collect and maintain comprehensive patient records, explain procedures and discuss results with patients.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including nurses, assistants, therapists and medical students.
• Conduct research to develop or test new medications, treatments or procedures.

Required profile

• MBBS or MBChB (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Specialty qualification in Otolaryngology as per recognized specialty certificate.
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Active HAAD license and hospital privileges renewable every 2 years.
• Professional demeanor with strong management aptitude.
