Design Engineer - Control Panel and Relay System

About the role

The Design Engineer will join the Solar PV design team at Emirates Electrical Engineering, supporting the company’s growth through collaboration with sales, business development and operations. The role involves end‑to‑end design activities for solar and electrical projects across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preliminary data analysis, technical recommendations and detailed design for solar PV assets using tools such as PV‑Syst, Helioscope and Homer.
• Create AutoCAD layouts, single‑line diagrams, shading analyses and lab reports, ensuring compliance with utility standards and project specifications.
• Generate project estimation sheets (CAPEX & OPEX), optimise designs for cost efficiency and coordinate with supply‑chain, execution and site‑survey teams.
• Support project execution phases, including inspections, installations and testing, and contribute to innovation by introducing new design optimisation ideas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in solar PV design within the UAE.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
