Hospitalist Specialist – Pediatric ICU (PICU)

About the role

The Hospitalist Specialist will deliver patient‑centric, evidence‑based care within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Mediclinic City Hospital. This full‑time position requires adherence to ethical standards and regulatory guidelines while providing GP‑level expertise to critically ill children.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, high‑quality clinical services to PICU patients.
• Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, quality management, and audit standards.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records.
• Promote continuous professional development for self and junior colleagues.
• Uphold ethical practice and integrity in all clinical activities.

Required profile

• Basic medical degree recognised by UAE healthcare authorities.
• Specialty diploma or training recognised by UAE authorities.
• Active life‑support certification (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
• 2–3 years of experience in a relevant specialised department within a private hospital.
• Ability to support clinical clerkship training for medical students and junior staff.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
