Senior Registered Nurse – Operating Theatre

About the role

Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse to lead the Operating Theatre team. The role focuses on delivering patient‑centric, evidence‑based care while ensuring operational efficiency and a positive patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and management guidance to the nursing team.
• Ensure evidence‑based patient care practices align with clinical standards.
• Develop staff and foster an engaging team environment.
• Manage clinical and non‑clinical resources cost‑effectively to enhance safe patient care.
• Maintain compliance with legislative, regulatory and clinical standards for continuous quality improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognised institute.
• Minimum 5 years of OT nursing experience, preferably in a private hospital.
• At least 2 years of senior OT nursing experience is desired.

Required skills

• Implementation of the five stages of the Scientific Nursing Process.
• Knowledge of JCIA and related governance standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of financial management, risk management and stock control principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
