SOC Analyst – Level 2

About the role

ApplyIn is seeking an experienced SOC Analyst – Level 2 to join its cybersecurity team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on monitoring security events, investigating escalated incidents, and enhancing the organisation’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and analyse escalated security alerts and incidents.
• Monitor security events using SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS platforms.
• Perform log analysis, correlate events and identify threats across networks, systems and endpoints.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and support containment, remediation and root‑cause investigations.
• Review and enhance detection rules, alert configurations and SOC procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on SOC or cybersecurity operations experience.
• Experience performing Level 2 security investigations and incident analysis.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications are an advantage.

Required skills

• SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or IBM QRadar.
• EDR/XDR technologies and security log analysis.
• Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and incident‑response methodologies.
• Understanding of common cyber‑attack methods and threat detection.
