Supply Chain Quality Management Manager

About the role

The Supply Chain Quality Management Manager is responsible for overseeing supplier quality performance and supporting First Article Inspection (FAI) across mechanical, electronics and standard parts commodities. The role ensures that all new parts and process changes meet aerospace standards before entering the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Own supplier quality scorecards (DPPM, SCAR closure rate, audit results) and lead audits for casting, CNC machining, sheet metal, electronics and standard parts.
• Manage the end‑to‑end SCAR process, including issuance, 8D root‑cause analysis, verification and closure.
• Support FAI governance per AS9102, approve FAI packages and coordinate non‑conformance disposition with Engineering.
• Run Quarterly Business Reviews with commodity managers and drive Supplier Improvement Plans.
• Lead and mentor Supply Quality Specialists and report quality KPIs to the Head of SCM & Procurement.

Required profile

• 10+ years of supplier/supply chain quality experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading supplier audits, corrective‑action programs and people management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering or related field.
• Experience with SAP/Ariba or equivalent ERP platforms.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of AS9100D, AS9102 and Nadcap special‑process requirements.
• Proficiency in 8D root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action handling.
• Familiarity with SAP or Ariba ERP systems.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) – strong advantage.
