Head of Solutions Engineering – EMEA

About the role

Scale AI is looking for a Head of Solutions Engineering to lead its technical pre‑sales function across the EMEA region. You will define how AI services are introduced to customers, from discovery through pilot, deployment and production success.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Sales and regional leadership to shape technical strategy, qualification and execution for complex deals.
• Define and operationalise repeatable pre‑sales processes, tools and playbooks.
• Recruit, mentor and enable a distributed Solutions Engineering team across EMEA.
• Lead technical discovery, demos and proof‑of‑concepts, ensuring pilots convert to production.
• Represent Scale’s platform to executives, technical stakeholders and partners.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to feed customer insights into roadmap discussions.
• Develop regional enablement programs and drive metrics such as pilot‑to‑production conversion and revenue influence.
• Act as a thought leader at industry events and ecosystem forums.

Required profile

• 10+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering or Technical Consulting.
• 4+ years in a leadership role building and scaling technical pre‑sales teams.
• Strong executive presence with credibility among both technical and business audiences.
• Experience across multiple EMEA markets and a track record of delivering AI/ML solutions.
