Operational Engineer Level 2 – CSOC

About the role

The Operational Engineer Level 2 – CSOC joins a 24x7 cyber security operations centre in Dubai. You will lead incident analysis, guide junior analysts and ensure timely resolution of complex security events while maintaining accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Address escalated incidents and service requests.
• Guide Level 1 engineers in troubleshooting and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain clear documentation of complex incidents.
• Monitor external threat data sources and assess impact on the enterprise.
• Perform detailed analysis of cyber‑threat adversaries and recommend countermeasures.
• Identify Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) activities.
• Support shift handover by maintaining the shift log.
• Review triage activities performed by L1 analysts and ensure accurate closure.
• Assist in creating playbooks and updating the knowledge‑base repository.

Required profile

• Degree or Honours in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Several years of experience in security operations or incident response.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor junior analysts.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure in a shift‑based environment.

• Advanced threat analysis, including malware reverse engineering.

• Forensic analysis of system logs and digital artefacts.
• Vulnerability management and remediation planning.
