BIM/CAD Technician (Wet Utilities)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a skilled BIM/CAD Technician specialized in wet utilities to support design and modelling activities for infrastructure projects in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure project compliance with policies and timely implementation.
• Develop engineering drawings, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics and component details from sketches or design information, following established standards.
• Manage the full BIM modelling process from project start‑up through completion, including model coordination and clash detection.
• Review drawings for readability, presentation and adherence to QA/QC standards.
• Create parametric and non‑parametric families and support content creation.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks.
• Extract schedules and quantities directly from the BIM model.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 4 + years of CAD drafting experience on wet and dry utilities projects within the MEA/UAE region.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
