About the role

A leading ophthalmology provider in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Consultant Anterior Segment, Cataract & Refractive Surgeon to join its expanding team. The role involves delivering high‑volume cataract and refractive procedures while managing complex anterior segment pathology.

Key responsibilities

• Perform anterior segment surgeries, including cataract, refractive, and corneal procedures.
• Manage complex cases such as secondary IOL fixation, iris reconstruction, and premium IOL implantation.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date surgical logbook and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary consultant team to deliver high surgical volumes.
• Support licensing and relocation processes as required.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent) with board certification or equivalent qualification.
• Fellowship training in anterior segment surgery, cornea & external disease, cataract surgery, or refractive surgery.
• Consultant‑level experience in a recognized ophthalmology setting, including high‑volume cataract surgery.
• Comprehensive and current surgical logbook.
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensure.
