Consultant Pediatric Emergency Medicine – Dubai (Tax-Free)

About the role

This is a senior consultant position in a JCI‑accredited, technologically advanced pediatric emergency department in Dubai. The role offers tax‑free remuneration and the chance to work with a diverse international patient population in a high‑acuity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Rapid assessment, diagnosis and management of acute medical, surgical and trauma cases in infants, children and adolescents.
• Stabilisation and treatment of life‑threatening emergencies such as respiratory distress, sepsis, trauma and cardiac events.
• Performing emergency procedures including airway management, intubation, resuscitation, procedural sedation and vascular access.
• Leading and participating in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and other resuscitation protocols.
• Collaborating with paediatricians, intensivists, surgeons and multidisciplinary teams for admission, referral or discharge planning.
• Providing family‑centred communication and ensuring efficient triage and patient flow.
• Utilising point‑of‑care testing, imaging and laboratory investigations for rapid decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years post‑board certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or related specialty.
• Board eligibility from recognized bodies (American Board, UK CCT/FRCEM, MRCPCH, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, DNB/MD/DM/FCPS, etc.).
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOH licence conversion (full support provided).
• Experience working in a high‑acuity emergency setting with access to NICU, PICU and trauma services.
