Consultant / Specialist Pulmonologist – Respiratory & Lung Medicine

About the role

A leading multispecialty hospital in Dubai is expanding its Respiratory Medicine and Pulmonary Care services. The Consultant/Specialist Pulmonologist will deliver comprehensive care for acute and chronic respiratory diseases within a modern hospital equipped with advanced diagnostics, imaging, and critical care facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of respiratory conditions including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary infections.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, spirometry, bronchoscopy, and coordinate sleep study evaluations.
• Provide inpatient consultations for acute respiratory failure and collaborate with critical care, thoracic surgery, and internal medicine teams.
• Develop personalized treatment plans, educate patients on smoking cessation and pulmonary rehabilitation, and ensure compliance with international guidelines.

Required profile

• Board-certified or specialist qualification in Pulmonary Medicine (e.g., American Board, UK CCT, European Board, Arab Board, etc.).
• Minimum 3 years post‑specialist or board certification experience.
• Eligibility for DOH/DHA/MOH licensing in the UAE (support provided).

Required skills

• Pulmonary function testing and interpretation (PFT, spirometry).
• Bronchoscopy and related pulmonary procedures.
• Sleep study coordination and management of obstructive sleep apnea.
• Inpatient respiratory consultation and critical care ventilation management.
